Flood warning for Chi River areas

The Royal Irrigation Department on Thursday afternoon warned people living on the banks of the Chi River and nearby in the Northeast to brace for possible floods, reports said.
In its 4th official warning, the department said the floodwater in Chaiyabhum is now running down to the Chi River which flows from this northeastern province to Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothorn and then joins the Mun River in Ubon Ratchathani.
It is possible the floodwater would overflow the Chi River’s banks. People livinnear the river should make arrangements for flooding. They should move their household goods, vehicles, cattle and poultry to safe areas, the department said.
The department advised people to pay close attention to its reports on the situation.

Ich bin gestern auf der 24 in Richtung Bangkok gefahren. Die Strasse war frei, die Landschaft um Korat und Saraburie/Ayuthaya allerdings sichtbar komplett ueberschwemmt.

During 29-31 October, the ridge of intense high pressure from China over upper Thailand makes the stronger northeast monsoon. The monsoon trough across the Andaman Sea, the south and the Gulf of Thailand brings more rain and heavy rain much of the south. People in risky areas near waterways and in lowlands should beware of severe weather and possible flash flood. The disaster areas include Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong, Phang-nga Trang and Satun. The strong wind-wave in the Gulf is likely. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore during this period.
The north, northeast, central and east will experience cooler weather with 2-3 oC drops. During 1-2 November, a low cell will move to the lower south.
This severe weather conditions will be issued and notified periodically.

In Bangkok scheint die kuehle und trockene Jahreszeit erstmals bemerkbar zu werden. Heute morgen etwas kuehl bei 27/28 Grad und trockener Luft mit angenehmem Windchen .
